High School Students Visit Second Grade

Mr. Eric Thiede’s high school students visited preschool, pre k and second grade classrooms as part of their sociology class. They observed student’s behavior at this level in the classroom and compared their observations to students at the high school level. Mr. Thiede and some of his students are former students of Kaukauna Catholic School System. It is always nice to have them come and visit us.

My daughter, attended St. Al's as part of this class project. She had Mrs. Thiede in middle school, and now has Mr. Thiede as a seinor at KHS. It was interesting to hear her views on this subject. She says that there were only 5 'holies' in her class, the rest are public school kids. When they discussed the differences in public vs. private schools, the kids found that where private schools emphasized grades and learning, public schools weren't that strict. According to my daughter, from a poll taken in her class, the majority of the kids decided that if they can afford it when they are parents, they would prefer to send their kids to private schools! Keep up the great work KCSS!!!
