Jewels in the King's Crown


Here are third graders working with 7th graders to make crosses with beads. Each cross will be made from 14 different colored beads. Each color represents something very special. The students will be keeping these crosses as a remind of what Jesus has done for us.

JEWELS IN THE KING’S CROWN

Pink- (Kindness) –Jesus washes feet of apostles

Black – (Sorrow) – Jesus consoles the women
Blue – (Honesty) – Jesus frightened of being arrested

Royal blue – (Responsibility) – Soldiers nail Jesus to cross
Yellow – (Confidence) – Judge questions Jesus

White – (Forgiveness) – Jesus forgives a criminal
Red – (Courage) – Jesus sentenced to death on cross

Purple – (Thoughtfulness) – Jesus helps his mother
Light Blue – (Perseverance) – Soldiers whip Jesus

Silver – (Faith) – Jesus dies on the cross
Orange – (Strength) – Jesus takes up his cross

Gold – (Respect) – Friends bury Jesus
Brown – (Humility) – Simon helps Jesus carry his cross

Green – (Hope) – Jesus rises from the dead
